Save to Stylish

HackTheWeb. The Web. Displayed Your Way.

Save to Stylish, its the dawn of a new day 😉

Here is a demonstration of cleaning up a page and then saving to stylish.

You can follow along by opening the ars page here.

1 – Click the HTW button and then we can start removing distractions.

2 – Use the mouse to red box the sidebar. Click to remove.

3 – Now lets do the same again to remove that blue banner.

4 – Click the De-Width button, and then click the area you want to re-flow.

5 – Normally that would be it, but on this site that didn’t work. So instead…

6 – To find the hidden element to de-width, red box a small item in the target area.
Now use ‘d’ (De-Width) and keep repeating until you find it.

7/8 – That didn’t re-flow the text so lets do ‘d’ (De-Width) again.

9 – And again.

10 – Yes! That worked.

11 – Now lets save to stylish.

12 – HTW opens the Stylish Editor.

13 – We could just save at this point.

14 – Instead lets reload the web page so that we can test that the Style works.

15 – So this is the web page reloaded.

16 – On the Editor use the preview option.

17 – Yes the Style is working correctly, so we can go ahead and save it.

18 – Here is Stylish showing the active saved style.

19 – If you need to alter the rules this is where to start.

20 – Now a test of another article on the same site.

Yes! The same style is working for all articles 🙂
